Observation re; flowers
Next summer go ahead and buy pansies and geraniums for Pete's sake! Then you will still have lovely blooming things on your porch, not the mostly dead assortment of - I don't remember what - that I am thinking I should put out of it's misery. Pathetic. There is a reason people buy these things. Wake up Colleen.

The Purse Challenge
The Purse Challenge, thanks to Martha - What does this say about me? What would Freud say? My large, not at all full purse - is plain black, it contains a breakfast bar, a wallet, a lipstick, a comb, a notebook, and a pen.
I am
a.) a socio-path
b.) a liar, or
c.) I've had a recent bout of "OMG I've GOT to get organized".
(It's C, you can tell because of the keys. There are 2 wings of the keys. There are several that I have no idea what they are for, and even a few that don't work, or are for locks that no longer exist.) If the illusion of organization is the first step toward it, then I'm on my way. AND it's sitting right here by my foot, (therefore I know where it is). Baby steps. Now I just need to carry it through to my house and then my life. Piece of cake.

Uncle Chuck update
Uncle Chuck Update - I was just thinking how lost I am without my camera! Which made me remember to send Chuck's family an email full of our family photos to put on a disc that they're creating to give to Chuck and his family. Which made me think that he has a wonderful family! Chuck has just been moved to Spauding Rehab. Center. He still has a long way to go but has made it through some really tough times. The first in the group of photos I sent Mark was from Abi's birthday party. That was February 2006, and it was a week after Chuck's accident. He was in a coma for about 3 months, and they are slowly bringing him out of it. The real miracle is that he's made it through. He should now be able to recover completely back to normal! We miss him, and wish we could do something to speed his recovery along so we can be with him again. His wife Kim and sons Tony and Michael are waiting and hoping and praying for this day. Hopefully it will come soon. (He's 60-ish? This must be his high school portrait.)
Chuck had a corvette that he drove out to Denver. When I was a pesky little kid, he gave even me a ride. (It was cool! Chuck was cool! Probably 1970)

We missed you at the hot-dry-buggy pony show
Missed you at the hot dry buggy pony show! We did stay for the stick races this time, and that was great fun. Everyone got a ribbon, and Abi was tickled pink with it, even after her big mouth sister told her "well, you didn't really win Abi. Everyone got one of THOSE ribbons, the winners got ones with a fancy button on the top. . . " next I suppose she'll be spilling the beans about Santa Claus!

Starting a new school year! Caitlin said she had a great day, got a smiley face for something or other. . . Abi probably pretended to be a cat or pony the whole day, but more importantly liked going to school. Me, I'm going to learn a whole bunch about autism! Fortunately I've had a crash course in the Sensory Processing stuff this summer with Caitlin. I'm tired. The basement flooded. . . tafn
