I've never been a good liar, so this should be easy

I may have an edge though, since this in the inter net (if you don't know what that is, you can look it up on the google, like our fearless leader GWB2 does) - sorry - since you can't see the facial tick I develop when lying.

OK - per Dodi, Lie.
List 8 things about yourself, but make one of them untrue.
Let's see if you can guess which is untrue!

1. I have bouts of insomnia.

2. I dream of living in a Yurt.

3. I can fly a plane.

4. I love to Scuba Dive.

5. I have been Sky Diving.

6. I have lived in England.

7. Venice is my favorite city.

8. I am a Girl Scout. (Want to buy some cookies?)

OK, if your paying attention at all, you can see that I posted this at 3:30am. That's a little hint for you, but I'm not going to help ANY more.

WOW! I have another blog!

Yes, whether I need it or not, I have a "insite" Regis blog. I'm so happy I know what one is! You can't post pictures tho, so I can't see that it will be of much interest to me.

So, I feel I've been wrapping things up, Bunko, yeah! - Big Love, awh =( summer in general,
I've got my books; and I learned a valuable life lesson (it's fun to get your books on campus when you live withing walking distance to campus, and are 20ish - it's not fun to get your books on campus when you have to drive 45 minutes, have your 2 kids in tow, and are 40ish) silly me. Amazon was actually cheaper, and I would have gotten free shipping having spent over 100$. That's one lesson that will stick with me at least the next 2 years.

And I'm feeling under prepared and over prepared at the same time. Check it out, my first class is Current and Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Education. Not to start off with a bad attitude, but doesn't that sound like a lot of mumbo jumbo, yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah!?! Fortunately one of the books looks like it won't have the immediate effect of an elephant tranquilizer, I think I'll go start with that one right now.

Finally, the picture of the day. I like to call this one;
"Multi-tasking"

That's my daughter Caitlin who has just abandoned her sister mid-trampoline/soccer game to come take a reading break, with her
hoola-hoop ready for action.
Caitlin, who answered the phone yesterday;
"Hello, this is Caitlin. . . My mothers daughter."

Realisms - from WBG2

Ah, here's a batch of "realisms" that I haven't heard before. My father (who's responsible for at least half of my sarcasm - mom's responsible for the other more than half - giving me a 110% dose) My father sent these around on an email. And so the blog challenge of the week should have been;
Ditto. See AT's blog, or MC's blog. I copied them both, as well as my dad. I was inspired by them! Aha! There's my positive angle. (Pretty good for a sarcasmophile.)

The trouble with being punctual is that nobody's
there to appreciate it. - Franklin P. Jones

We must believe in luck. For how else can we explain
the success of those we don't like?

It matters not whether you win or lose; what
matters is whether I win or lose.

Life is pleasant.
Death is peaceful.
It's the transition that's troublesome.

Help a man when he is in trouble and he will
remember you when he is in trouble again.

Complex problems have simple, easy to understand
wrong answers.

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it
creative problem solving.

Whoever said money can't buy happiness, didn't know
where to shop.

Alcohol doesn't solve any problems, but then again,
neither does milk.

Most people are only alive because it is illegal to
shoot them.

Forgive your enemies but remember their names.

The number of people watching you is directly
proportional to the stupidity of your action.

Happy Friday!
Only 24 more days until fall break?
124 shopping days until Christmas?

Yeee Haw!

What's more fun than a troop full of Brownies? Well, a troop of brownies going horseback riding with the cookie money they earned last year! Here they are at National Park Gateway Stables
going for a 2 hour ride on a
gorgeous, dare I say PERFECT Saturday morning.

Caitlin stated that this was her best day ever. The Guide challenged with - what about your last birthday? C defended her claim with the fact that Well, my little sister isn't here, and she loves horses - and I never get to do any horsey stuff - and I got to come and without her!
So, not very gracious, but apparently true!

OK, we are off to a Gillis Family picnic/reunion.
Should be fun.
(That was meant to be read many different ways.)

FINALLY

Finally - I've gotten the girls back onto the school schedule. (They are actually unconscious at 9 pm tonight! - Victory is mine!) Playing single mom the last 2 weeks has not been pretty in the morning. I am not a morning person - even though I get up at 5 - I'm pretty grumpy until about 8. It takes me, Abi and the dog 30 minutes to wake up Caity most mornings. Abi is usually up by 6:30 but is one of the slowest slowberries around. Anyhow, I've slowly and painfully broken them of the chatting until 10 habit. I had to do the unthinkable and SEPARATE THEM! 3 whole nights I think it was. They are happily back together tonight.

Finally - the Allshouse kids came in to say goodbye to everyone! This is a wonderful family, and I am so sad to see them go. So many people wanted to say goodbye that today was Allshouse day at Rolling Hills.

Finally - Kevin is coming home Saturday. He's been in Dallas - they went out to an evening baseball game, and it was 96 degrees at 10 o'clock at night, yikes! We've had a busy couple of weeks and I'm tired! It's time to be a tag team again. (So on Saturday, I'll be up horseback riding with the Girls Scouts while Grandma welcomes him home on my behalf and says "here, take Abi to the Pump it Up Birthday Party. Don't forget to drop by target and pick up a toy."

Finally - I had my Regis meeting and feel like I have a understandable plan for getting through school for the next 2 1/2 years - gulp!

Finally - I've blogged something! Wow, blogless for almost 2 weeks. I think it's time for the COUNT DOWN!!! 30!
ONLY 30 more days until track off.

Finally - I killed the mothers day flowers on the front porch. (I did much better than usual this year.)

Finally - I'm going to bed. Tomorrow is another day -
I can pick the blue playdough out of their hair then!

"A thief always thinks someone is stealing from him"

Quote of the day from a rant about how our Executive branch is busy lining their pockets with one hand and vetoing the continuation of the subsidized insurance program for poor-kids - with the other. Politics. What's the Harry Potter quote, something about - Most leaders become leaders because of their strong desire to ___(insert inappropriate reason here)____. So it goes with the muggle world as well.

"Does God speak dog?" That would be the question of the day, provided by Caitlin.

Party in the Park 2007

The best thing about this years party in the park occurred to me the night before the event, about 10 p.m. Hey, tomorrows PiP, and I'm not making cotton candy! (The last several years I've spent ave.5 hours with the "fairy floss" machine - the torch has been passed!)

So, the girls got filthy, wet, sticky, painted and drippy - and had a 3 hour blast. I didn't even bring my camera - therefore it's not even me in charge of forwarding the pictures. This ones courtesy of SW Martha!
Evey body say "Ponies"!

And We're Off!

Caitlin and Abigail are offically new Rolling Hills students. (Close call, the camera was so low on batteries it only allowed 1 picture.) More later, I gotta go!
